Join us as we celebrate Phillip’s fifteen year anniversary as a fine art sculptor.
Phillip was born into the art world and had the privilege of studying under his father,
master sculptor Ken Payne. From a young age he new he wanted to be an artist. With an unmatched imagination and his love of Southwest history his future as an artist was undeniable.
Phillip completed his first sculpture at the young age of 15.
Now 15 years later we celebrate the adventure, the story and the legacy of Phillip Payne
and his family history in the fine art world.
This will also be the one year anniversary of Desert Mountain Fine Art Gallery. Owned and operated by
artists in residence, husband and wife team, Phillip and Gabi Payne.
We did it! This February is the one year anniversary for Desert Mountain Fine Art Gallery and we are going to celebrate! Phillip and I (Gabi) have spent more time in the gallery then we have at home but it is the best feeling to watch our vision become a reality. Of course, we have some amazing people and artists who believe in us. We could not have done any of this without you. We have met some great people along the way as well. Our favorite part of owning a gallery is the people we get to meet and spending time with the artists. Just earlier today, Sebastian stopped by to say hi and we discussed the fail fast method (we will talk about that in a later post). This kind of thing happens so often and we never want to take it for granted. Our artists have taught us so much about art and changed the way we create.
This February we will also be celebrating Phillip’s fifteen years as a fine art sculptor! Phillip completed his first bronze sculpture at the young age of 15, fast-forward 15 years later and he is still creating and now owning and running his own fine art gallery!
Cheers all around! Hip hip hooray! Happy anniversary Desert Mountain Fine Art Galley and Phillip Payne!
What will we do next? Phillip is always coming up with something brilliant so whatever it is it will be an adventure.
Thanks for reading!

Come fall in love with the art and maybe even take a piece of his world home.
Desert Mountain Fine Art is proud to focus on the art of photography during the month of December. Never before in history has photography been such a part of our daily lives. But what makes a photo special? How do we separate our works from the everyday into something unique that becomes a part of our homes and a part of our families?
Come and meet internationally collected artists Gregg Albracht and Dennis Doyle and hear them tell their stories of how they developed a style that is, more than a mere photograph, an extension of their own souls. See the works of how they compose and draw the viewer into their work. And then bring a piece of their legacy home. We look forward to seeing you there!
